Synopsis:
Set in 1944 WWII, Jewish singer played by Carice van Houten witnessed the death of her family. Swearing to take revenge, she joined the resistance. As a spy, she fell in love with a Nazi. However, with each failing rescue missions, little did she know that it was all planned out. But, by whom? Only the black book knows.
Review:
Absolutely engaging and enjoyable to watch, especially Carice as her character faced trials and humiliation. Using charm, intelligence and determination, and perhaps even luck, her character managed to escape deaths. What is amazing is the unexpected turns in the plot as one tries to figure out the mastermind, even until the end. Scenes of nudity were deep and meaningful and used to their fullest potential, never making one ashame of their presence. A splendid performance, definitely.
