Synopsis:

The race for a better fuel sees Lightning McQueen entering a World Grand Prix in Japan, Porta Corsa and London. Amid the tournament lies a plot to undermine cleaner fuels.

Review:

After the wonderful Toy Story 3, Hawaii vacation was not to be missed as it brought together all our favourite toys with Barbie and Ken to their holiday. Lots of laughs! Although it may play a redeeming role for Cars 2, the latter should not be brushed aside. Plethora of spectacular scenery of Japan, Italy, France and London. Definitely memorable for those who've been there before. However, the plot was too ambitious to incorporate a James Bond-like action into the already heavy racing. In the end, it's hard for the audience to grasp a clear theme.

老北京

It's been a while since the group had buffet and though I must admit that we were past the age for such activities, vivid memories of our conquest at Sakae Sushi remained. Such may not be the only reason we visited 老北京 for their high tea buffet.

For a buffet, the spread weren't fantastic. They had baos, siew mai, xiao long baos, guo tie and lots of dumplings. What I like was that for the net price of 13.80, they managed to achieve a consistently good standard in their quality. Now my stomach was more bloated than ever...

Ah, I missed the sushi in Singapore where they are reasonably priced and of sufficiently good quality. For my mum's birthday, went to Sushi Tei for dinner.

In my opinion, we ordered too much for a dinner for four. Nevertheless, we finished everything. That should satisfy my Japanese food craving for a while.

Bad teacher

Synopsis:

Bad teacher Cameron Diaz chalks up all types of bad teacher behaviour in her journey to earn money for an up-size in her assets.

Review:

In spite of the enticing trailer and interesting concept, bad teacher's Cameron Diaz tried her best but the movie remains bad. Plenty of crass remarks with quirky sidelines and some hilarious moments. Quite a pity.

From Harvard

Got a B plus for a course on Corporate Strategy at Harvard. Was praying that I could get an A. Then again, that was wishful thinking since I knew that my analytic skills were lacking and I did not put in the effort. Well, this will definitely be something that I will reflect upon.

Overheard 2

Plot:

This is no sequel to the first Overhead but sees the three main leads in the crackdown of the financial world.

Review:

Tight plot with intriguing story lines and ample chases.

Happy Bday

Not officially my birthday, but it was my lunar birthday so I supposed it counted. We went to Soup Kitchen for dinner and in my opinion, we ordered too much. We had chicken, tofu, stir-fry sweet potato leaves, stir-fry fish and pumpkin soup. Sure, we finished everything but this wasn't exactly my diet plan.

Typical of all birthdays, there will be a birthday cake. This year, I got a 1kg customised cake in the design of a bugs bunny. Although I was rolling my eyes but the design was really cute.

And that was my birthday, a great time for family reunion.

Back

Ah, back to the lovely Singapore. It had indeed been a long, long trip from home and I was greeted by many sights familiar and yet unfamiliar. Smelling the rain and it's off to bed.
