1 last note

Finally the time has come.
Leaving behind my family, my friends, my home and the sunny Singapore.
Embarking on this journey, I hope it is the right one.
Really thank everyone for everything...

I was reminded why I would be very happy to leave Singapore...

This is the last night. Sleep tight...

Somehow the days just pass by so quickly, but I am definitely enjoying everyday.
Meeting relatives, friends and trying as much food as possible.
Questions began to make me worried.

Am I packing enough?
Will I be able to survive in a foreign place?
Will I be able to take care of myself?

Well, I wouldn't know until I reach there but I know that I won't be alone.

Packing disaster

A few more days before flying off.
Started packing and kept reminding myself that there's limited spcae and weight.
Did a few rounds of elimination and reduction.
And still, my luggage was bursting and according to my slightly erroneous weighing machine, it's overweight.
And thus my stuff are sent to my scrutiny and elimination again.
Goodness, what's next...

Movie: The chaser (M18)

Synopsis:
An impotent serial killer murdered his victims with a hammer and chisel. An ex-policeman pimp searching for his prostitutes. Inefficiency and false clues that brought the policemen nowhere nearer to the truth. All these come together to a gory end.

Review:
I would say that the storyline is good, with all the gore and suspence (especially when one of the prostitute who tried so hard to escape). It is also quite laughable and disturbing to watch the failure of the policemen. So many issues at hand, but a pity that the middle portion of the show was rather dull.

Last week

One more week,
Only seven more days.
I guess I will be missing my family, my friends,
And all the beautiful memories.
But let this last week be a happy one.

So be it

Not sure why I am being so,
But since you want me to shut up,
so be it.

Happy 21 with friends (IV)

It was more of a gathering than a birthday celebration, but I am definitely happy to see each other after so long.
Went to catch Mamma Mia in the afternoon with Swee Leong and Raymond. The movie was absolutely entertaining and I was laughing from the start to the end. Glad that Raymond is laughing it out too since he seemed to be under a lot of stress.
After the movie, we went to Kushin Bo for dinner buffet. It will be a while before Jay and Eugene arrive, so we started without them. Kushin Bo is somewhat similar to Sakura but better. The food is good and its specialty is the crab claws (which Raymond finished tons of it). The salmon is fresh and I kinda like the paper steamboat. Every couple of minutes, Kushin Bo have special promotions (whether is it special dishes or lucky draw). No matter what, once the annoucement started, we would rush to the location. So funny. Of course we got the special dishes and we even have one person dine for free. Amazing!
It has been quite long since we met (Aaron is definitely missed) and have so much fun. A pity that I didn't bring my camera.

Movie: Mamma mia! The movie

Synopsis:
Wanting to find out who her father is, a girl (Amanda Seyfried) invited three possible candidates (Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgard) to her wedding without informing her hippie mum (Meryl Streep).

Review:
Together with Meryl Streep, Christine Baranski and Julie Walters are the trio of fun, belting out hits after hits of ABBA. At their age, it is really amazing to watch them sing and dance, clearly enjoying it. It is quite hilarious to watch the almost bollywood style, where workers would suddenly join into the songs. Sure enough, the audience enjoyed it too.

Eric's performance

Went with Wei liang, Serene, Yipei and Jia hui for City Chinese Orchestra's rendition of top ten chinese classics. Of course the main reason was because Eric was performing (duh). And we bought a bouquet of flowers for him (lol, not sure what flowers he likes though).

The top ten classics, how should I put it, have some highly entertaining (such as the butterfly lovers) and some less engaging ones. Happy though, cos it's been a long time since I went for such a performance and it's quite relaxing.

Glad for Eric.

2 more weeks

Only two more weeks. Can hardly wait.
Started trying to pack: digging out all my stuff resulting in a cluttered house (everywhere's my stuff: bags, winter clothes, cooking stuff etc). Had in mind what to pack (hopefully it's not too much). Only left a few things yet to be purchased (travel insurance, rice cooker etc) .
On one hand I was thinking that to fit everything into one luggage should not be a problem. Thinking what should be in and what's not. Perhaps I need a contingency plan.
So fun.
Before I know it, it is time to go.

Mid Autumn Festival 2008

It's another reminiscing time. Thinking about how Mid Autumn Festival was so much fun. Carrying cheaply bought lanterns. Lighting up rows and rows of candles. Playing around with nothing to care.
Now, looking at my nephews running around and having fun. Such innocence.
Envious.

Happy 21 with friends (III)

Settlers' a place of happy memories, although I was tricked into going there this time round. I genuinely believed that Amanda was waiting for her friends and was very surprised when the rest of the DMP (Drama Mamas and Papas) popped out. But, really have to thank everyone for organising it.

21!

Blowing out the candles

Ichiban's cheese cake is nice, and of course I got the biggest piece of all. And was also presented with a giant root beer float from settlers'. Simply wonderful.

Centre of attention

What's that?

How scandalous...

Woof woof

DMP

Really happy to be with them. It's been quite long since we met. Played many silly games. Lol. 'Ugly ugly' was especially loud and enjoyable.

A great time.
