Prawning

Prawning, another first for me, was a treat by seniors.
Even though the location is very near to my house, I have never been there before.
A weekday, but there were quite a number of people prawning. Rented four rods (at a rate of 30 bucks for three hours each) and the prawning began.
As first time prawner, there is much to learn: adjust the level of the float, putting the bait correctly, technique of prawning etc.
Very happy as I was the first person to catch a prawn (seeing the float disappeared and the tug of the line). Even though the prawns do not have huge pincers, their pincers look menacing enough for me to pass the prawns to the 'hook removal' team.
Indeed prawning required plenty of patience. Enjoyed it though. Calm and exciting. And the rest were happily grinning with their catch.
