Synopsis:
By Lee Ang, this movie is about a traitor Mr Yee (played by Tony Leung), resistance party Mrs Mak (played by Tang Wei). Set in World War II, the story tells about how the resistance force tries to assasinate Mr Yee by planting Mrs Mak to seduce him. In the end, she fell in love with him and protected him.
Review:
Although this version is the cut one, the story is well substantiated. Tony Leung plays a very emotional and convincing Mr Yee. You could see all his emotions portrayed in his eyes. I didn't find Tang Wei that pretty, but she is one good actress, and not because she is willing to play nude. Sexual scenes were minimal, but crucial to the storyline. However, I thought that the relationship between the two leads were not developed fully.
