So lucky that I was able to go to the Singapore Airshow, another first for me. It was a superb experience (not including all the queueing and waiting). Glad of the foresight of my friend to suggested meeting up at 9am , although the tickets said 9.45, because there was already a very very long queue, no doubt fast moving, at Pasir Ris for the shuttle bus. What followed next was a half hour ride to the destination, further in from SFT. If you thought that you will get to see the show soon, that was wrong as the queue started again, this time for security check before admission. It was amazing the amount of people that was there at such an early hour, guess they must be excited to see the planes. After clearing security, it was already 10 plus as we made our way to the exhibition hall. There were many exhibits, from land systems helmed mainly by ST to the different air plane services. The exhibition hall is super huge. The most attractive was ST, with its display on weapons (SAR21, Ultimax, more variants of SAR and AGL) and vehicles (Terrex, Spider). After the indoor exhibits, we went out to look at all the planes (from UAVs to fighters to A380). Just as the air show was about to start, the A380 started the engine (I thought it was not suppose to shift) and took off. For the airshow, the lineup was Singapore's Black Knights, USAF's F/A-18, M-346 (trainer), Korean's T-50 (trainer), USAF's F-16, the A380 and finally RAAF Roulettes.

A badly taken shot of Black Knights
The outdoor square was packed with visitors armed with their high end cameras, whereas I was using my handphone camera. The Black Knights performance was exhilarating, some may even call it a propaganda, but we definitely enjoyed all their breathtaking stunts. After their exciting performance, the solo performances by the other planes were less engaging but showcased their planes' capabilities (able to invert or fly silently) It was until A380 that captured the audiences attention again.

The airshow ended with another stimulating performance by the Roulettes (to me, they look a little like WWII planes). Other than the airshow, there's also display of SAF's many vehicles.
Leopard
And also other vehicles.
Slick
How can we ignore our hungry stomach. No way. With our food voucher, we bought so much food (they're not bad) worth a total of 45 bucks. Food glorious food.
All for the 2 of us
Leaving the place, I think that the Air show is definitely worth it, especially if you are a plane fanatic. Just remember that for such events, must go early to beat the crowd. You can even get the Black Knights' autographs (amazing). Looking forward to the next one.
