Yet another wedding dinner invitation for this year. This time, the wedding banquet was held at Hilltop Garden restaurant, Bukit Batok. Usually when people hear that the banquet will be held in a restaurant and not in a hotel, they would assume that the quality is lower.
However, that is not the case with Hilltop Garden restaurant. I admit that it may not have the glamour of the top notch hotels nor its accompanying services, but the food was outstanding. I was really impressed by their suckling pig, steamed live soon hock, cereal prawns and or-nee. The suckling pig was roasted to perfection; the fish was really fresh; the cereals were amazing; and the or-nee was sinfully good. There's also free flow of alcohol for your thirsty relatives and friends.
All in all, a simple wedding surrounded with blissfully good food. That is life.
