Day Trip to Malaysia

A day trip to Malaysia for food, movie and shopping. Despite being a long weekend, there was a long traffic at the immigration office on Friday. Perhaps the crowd had a similar idea to take a breather. It took us slightly less than an hour to clear the custom.

For those like me who hardly explores Malaysia on public transport, you can buy a taxi coupon at the official taxi stand. Haggling is prohibited though. As we were going to Jusco Tebrau City, the ride cost RM22.40. By the time we reached, it's near lunch time. We got our movie tickets to Person Jackson quickly. I was quite surprised that Citibank offers a 1-for-1 movie ticket of Fridays in Malaysia. No wonder the queue was insanely long. Thereafter, we hurried to Kim Gary restaurant to satisfy our stomach.

No doubt Jusco is a huge shopping mall, there weren't anything that caught my eyes. The supermarket was too crowded as well. Sigh. Next stop, City Square Mall.

Good Wanton noodles

Dinner at Canyon-i was definitely better than lunch. The liu sha bao was decent. The wanton noodles were delicious if not slightly salty. The wonton was very generous with its prawns. No wonder we had to wait for thirty minutes for our table.

Another popular place was Hui Lau Shan which sells mostly mango desserts. At 8pm, most of their desserts were sold out. However, that did not stop a long queue. To be honest, nothing beats Taiwan dessert.

And with that, it's back home!
